Jesse Logan, a young Ohio girl with interest in graphic design and hopes of attending the University of Cincinnati, sent nude pictures of herself to her boyfriend. When the couple broke up, the boy sent the racy pictures to other high school students. Girls began harassing Jesse, calling her horrible names. She was miserable and depressed, afraid even to go to school.

“When she would come to school, she would always hear, ‘Oh, that’s the girl who sent the picture. She’s just a whore,’ ” Jesse’s friend, Lauren Taylor, told NBC News.

Determined to stop another person from going through the kind of name calling and humiliation that she faced, Jesse went on Cincinnati television to tell her story. Her purpose was simple. “I just want to make sure no one else will have to go through this again.” Jesse’s mother thought she was over the worst of the bullying. Then, one of Jesse’s acquaintances committed suicide. After attending the funeral, Jesse came home and hanged herself. Jesse was only 18 years old.
